Hiking and skiing in the Italian Alps in August

Hey Erin, the penguins in Milan!

Sorry it took so long to get the pics.

The penguins in their natural habitat near the tram and Parco Sempione

They're almost as tall as Isabella!

Elisa and Isabella after the second ski lift

We didn't go any higher because it was too cold and windy

Dave went up another level and skiied, though.

The old spoon on the nose trick

See it's windy!

The Matterhorn from the flat where we stay

The back yard and our lawn chairs

On the ski lift, ready for a nice hike

Looking back down the ski lift. Good thing I'm not afraid of hights!

The Matterhorn up closer

Elisa in hiking gear

Dave and Bella

Sure don't want to get lost out here!

Dave and Bella by the reservior

See the little bitty town? That's where we ended up hiking back down to!

Pretty

Taking a break

Near a cave! oooh!

Rocks and wood

Cervinia again

Family portrait in front of the Matterhorn (Monte Cervino)

Us again

We walked from the other side, down and across that path in front of the dam

The reservoir from the other side

Bella's asleep by now

A track for hauling stuff up the mountain, I guess.

Isabella's hunting butterflies

She's fully rested now, but we're exhausted!

It was a *5* hour hike, after all!

Hmmm, Daddy's shoes fit funny...
Gasp! She's starting to look older. Quit it!
